For many years Normerica has been working with Architects and their clients on projects ranging from small cabins, to complex houses and grand lodges throughout North America and the world.

If your client has identified to you they would like all or a portion of their project to be Timber Frame, Normerica has a highly experienced professional design team available to collaborate with you and your client on the project.

Our Design & Engineering Department is permanently staffed by over twelve Timber Frame experts. The Department is divided into Architectural Design and Production/Engineering teams.

The Architectural Design team is comprised of talented architects, drafting technicians and structural engineer; all in-house. We work with you in developing your client's conceptual design. Once the conceptual design is finalized our Production/Engineering team develops the production shop drawings and shares details for the timber frame and other selected package materials with you. All design work is done on the latest version of Auto Desk's AutoCAD as well as the more powerful version of Architectural Desktop (ADT) design platform which develops 3D building imagery.

We believe Normerica offers you the greatest value to your creative and structural efforts if we are brought into the project early on, ideally at the concept design stage. Our early involvement in the project saves you valuable time as we can provide budget pricing for the selected Normerica materials with consistent and timely structural advice and detailing from early sketch drawings.
