ADENA SPRINGS NORTH HORSE BARN
Aurora, Ontario
When Adena Springs wanted a new state of the art stud barn and breeding
facility in Aurora, Ontario they selected MacEachern Building and
Contracting for the management of the 12,000 square foot project. The design
of the barn required an expansive timber roof.
For expertise in the engineering and manufacture of the heavy timber
structure, Steve MacEachern then turned to Normerica for assistance.
Collaborating with the barn’s architect and management of Adena Springs,
Normerica’s in-house design and engineering team redesigned the original
plan for a stick framed roof into an elegant, insulated, glulam timber
structure, befitting the international showpiece the facility has become for
the thoroughbred horse breeding world.
