PURCHASING A NORMERICA
TIMBER FRAME PACKAGE
- An initial payment of 25% is due upon signing the contract for your Normerica Timber Frame Package. This payment triggers the scheduling of production dates for the manufacture of all aspects of your home.
NB: Prime delivery dates in the spring and summer can already be filled by February and March of the same year.
- A further payment of 25% is required on the earlier approval of ‘final review’ drawings or a predetermined date based on the contracted delivery date. This confirms the production date of your material package.
- A final payment for the remaining 50% of the purchase price of the package is required prior to the delivery
of your package
PREPARING A QUOTATION
FOR YOUR DESIGN
- If your sketches are readable (dimensioned floor plans and all elevations), we can usually prepare a
guaranteed price quotation for a Normerica Timber Frame Package for your design in 5-7 working days.

CUSTOMIZING AN EXISTING
NORMERICA DESIGN
- Make minor modifications such as changing siding or windows to any home from Normerica’s Residential
Design Library.
- A small design fee will typically be included in your package quotation for minor changes to existing
Normerica designs, as part of your guaranteed price quotation for your Normerica Timber Frame Package.
DESIGN CONTRACT FOR CUSTOM DESIGNS AND PROJECT BUDGETING
Make extensive changes to any existing Normerica design such as floor plan, windows or incremental dimensional changes in two foot increments or create a custom home design which meets exactly your family’s needs and budget. Normerica’s professional Architectural Design and Engineering Department will work with you or collaborate with your appointed architect to develop the perfect home design.
- A design contract is required to retain the services of Normerica’s Architectural Design and Engineering Department to develop a custom design from concept stage through to creating sketches and review drawings.
- If you request it, the design contract can be modified to cover preliminary site visits, a construction consultation and the development of a preliminary project budget, in addition to design and drafting work.
- The design contract can be credited against the purchase of your Normerica Timber Frame package.
